One Orthodox Jewish Woman Breaking Down Stereotypes

When I first started JewintheCity.com a couple years ago and needed to come up with a mission statement, I thought: "One Orthodox Jewish woman attempting to break down stereotypes about religious Jews and offer a humorous, meaningful look into traditional Judaism" best summed up what I was trying to accomplish. But recently it came to my attention that the word "attempting" is too tentative and non-committal for the task I have at hand.

Children, Children Everywhere!

Hey there loyal readers! I haven't forgotten about you, but I am surrounded by children all hours of the day (and some hours of the night) for the next two and a half weeks until school starts. Though I've been writing quite frequently in my head, I have been unable (as of yet) to find time to get my ideas onto this site. Please be patient. I'll be back as soon as I can. And in the meantime, send thoughts of well-behaved children and good sleeping my way!

Harvard Bound

Well, I've made it to Harvard. Actually, my blog has. Not that my blog is at Harvard, but rather Harvard will be studying my blog. And when I say "Harvard will be studying my blog", what I really mean is that one class at Harvard - a blogging class (a blogging class?) - has added JewintheCity.com to it's blogroll. Well, actually, one professor has added JewintheCity.com to the blogroll. (Among many others.)
