I found the video sad too. I didn’t like the penny picking up though.
Growing up we never ever had Chinese for Xmas nor did we go to the movies. We were more excited about Hanukkah and for us the 25th was just another day.
If Brandon is so miserable about having nothing to do on the 25th then let him make aliyah.
*whispers* My latkes are better than my mom’s.

That was my reaction to this video exactly – it made me sad. I was one of those Jews once. I knew nothing about Chanukah, but I could decorate a mean xmas tree. And I knew from my spareribs.
I am grateful every day that I was blessed with discovering what it truly means to be Jewish and to embrace the beauty of that meaning.
